PHP snippets not executing on front end

I noticed that the timestamps for all code revisions for my snippets were way off. I wondered if it’s because it’s using the server timezone rather than the site (WP) timezone. So I create a quick test PHP snippet to output the current timezone, set autoload-ON, load on=wp_footer , location=frontend. Cleared cache just to be safe. However when I visit a front end page, the output is not there.
